NOS Dura Ace Group



The New Old Stock Dura Ace “9 speed generation” regarded, by me as the best group of all times!

These were hand made in a small factory in Japan that only made their highest quality Dura Ace and XTR components.

Rear Hub:

The rear hub is still a real tradition “loose ball” cup and cone hub. Easy to service and grease and replace the bearing just like any vintage hub.

Notice the elegant “small barrel,” the chrome lock nuts and alloy spacers.

The cassette body is made from Titanium, so it’s much lighter than most other hubs, but you can still use any cassette you like. It has the traditional spacing used from 8 speed through 10 speed. So any 8-10 speed cassette will fit (*excluding Campagnolo).

Front derailleur:

The body is alloy and the cage is chrome plated steel. They work well with road rings and are great with compact doubles.

They all have a 28.6 clamp size for standard, or single over sized tube sets (and are compatible with all bikes we make).

Rear derailleur:

The rear derailleurs only come in the short cage. These are best for very compact cassettes such as 11-25.

Matching the group:

We like matching up this Dura Ace group with a Son dynamo front hub, Sun Xcd crank set with T.A. chain rings mounted with Velo Orange 50.4 hardware. Shimano dura ace 9 or 10 speed down tube shifters KMC Ultra light chain and Ultegra cassettes.
