Hand Made Belladonna 650b Show Bike

6,000.00

Full Custom Belladonna show bike, on sale to help support us get more tools and what not (not because the bike isn't one of the best bikes ever made!)

This is the bike that started it all. We accidentally collaborated on this bike and came up with the idea for Norther Cycles.

Mark decided to build this frame just for fun, just for a show. Something he never does. He asked for my help and with raking the fork so he could have the cool new "French Flip" of my fork rake tool.

That lead to him asking for my help setting up the bike and picking out parts. This is where it all went right! I couldn't help myself, first we just polished the sealed bearing Velo Orange headset. This lead to me stripping and polishing the Velo Orange cranks set and chainrings. Then the Velo Orange skewers, and whoops to cut out, round off, and polish up the 8 speed Shimano shifters to look like the great shifters of yesteryear.

Technical stuff. This bike has all the best stuff:

What size is it? Well.... It measures 55cm from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the top tube. 56cm if you measure all the way up to the tip of the seat lug, 54cm if you measure up to the center of the top tube.

The top tube is 55cm ctc.

Now keep in mind that the 650b wheel size make a frame fit a little different. The seat tube can be the same length as a bike with a 700c wheeled bike but since the axle of the wheel sit lower to the ground on a 650b bike the stand-over will be lower, so pick a size up from what you normally ride. Don't worry about the top tube being a little long, bikes equipped with handlebar bags need slightly longer top tubes so that you can run a slightly shorter stem in order to keep the load of the bag behind the center line of the front axle. This makes the load in your bag not yank on front wheel while ridding.

Now the cool stuff.

It's equipped with Son Connector less  SL front hub. It has all internal cable routing for the generator lighting, and the rear brake housing as well.

Did you see the hand cut lugs? They started of as Pacenti lugs, and were meticulasly hand caved into a neo retro look in the Denucci style!

As for the rest of the components we installed all new old stock Shimano 105 9 speed era rear hub, and derailleurs for that classy matching groupo look!

The brakes are the new very shiny Compass center pulls that are a copy of the M.A.F.A.C "Raid" brakes. It is also equipped with the special Compass CP1 front rack made special for these brakes.

Yes it comes with the new Berthoud saddle (of your choice, or swap it out for a Brooks or any other saddle in stock), and GB 25 bag.

Lots of other amazing little details. Like the hand pin stripping of it's logo and lug lining by the amazing artist and pin stripper Greg Higgins! It's worth checking out. It's on the showroom floor and available for sale in Person or online. Shipping will be expensive as the bike is complete and we will have to build a full size box for ground shipping. Pick up recommended, and besides we like to know the people that ride our bikes so we can keep up with you both in the future!
